The Telangana government has cancelled EAMCET-2 and announced the scheduling of EAMCET-3 for admissions into MBBS, BDS courses in Telangana on Tuesday evening.
The exam will be held on September 11.
Telangana government has replaced EAMCET convener and appointed JNTUH Registrar Yadaiah as the new convener. The decision has been taken after a review meeting chaired by the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday with regards to the EAMCET-2 question paper leak met to deliberate on this matter, and undertake measures to make the exam foolproof this time.
The government decided that JNTUH would conduct the exam.
The communique said that the students can appear for the exam with the same Hall Ticket Number allotted for EAMCET-2. They are exempted from any examination or registration fee.
The students can also avail free transport in RTC buses on the exam day by showing the hall ticket, the statement said.
With regards to the scrapping of EAMCET-2, CM KCR said that re-examination was inevitable due to legal issues and also urged the parents of the students not to worry about the re-examination and help their children to write the exam well with confidence.
