Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2019 is being conducted for the purpose of determining the eligibility/ merit, for admission of Karnataka candidates and the ward/s of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants to the First year or First semester of full-time courses for Government share of seats in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Farm Science courses i.e, Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons) Sericulture, B.Sc (Hons) Horticulture, B.Sc (Hons) Forestry, B.Tech. Bio Technology, B.Sc. (Hons) Community Science, B.Tech (Agri. Engg), B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Tech (Dairy Tech), B.F.Sc (Fisheries), B. Tech (Food Science &Tech)., B.Sc. (Hons) Agri. Marketing & Co-Op, B. Pharma and Pharma-D course, in Government/ University/ Private Aided/ Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka for the academic year 2019-20.

Eligibility Criteria:

Engineering/ Technology courses (B.E. / B. Tech):

Passed in 2nd PUC/ 12th Std/ Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and obtained a Minimum of 45% of Marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Bio- Technology/ Biology/ Electronics/ Computer. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates).

For Architecture course (B. Arch):

Passed in 2nd PUC/ 12th Std/ Equivalent Exam with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and also 50% marks in aggregate at 2nd PUC/ 12th Std/ Equivalent Exam in all the subjects. (45% for SC, ST, Cat- 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates and person with disability of mental retardation or mental illness (including Dyslexia)).

Note on NOT ELIGIBLE CLAUSE: Previous Year Seat Allotted Candidates

A candidate who had obtained a seat in any discipline through KEA (CET Cell) in any of the previous years and not surrendered the seat before the last date fixed for entry of options for final round of seat allotment for the respective disciplines will not be eligible for allotment of a seat to the same discipline during 2019 as per rule 15 (5) of CET-2006 Admission Rules. However, he/ she is eligible to appear for CET-2019 for allotment of seat in any other discipline.
