1. CHARCOAL CAVITY TEST:

Residue	Metallic Bead	Inference
Yellow when hot, white when cold		Zn²⁺
Brown when hot, yellow when cold	Green bead, Makes the paper black	Pb²⁺
No characteristics residue	Red beads / scales	Cu²⁺
White residue, glows on heating		Ba²⁺/ Sr²⁺/ Ca²⁺/ Mg²⁺
Black residue		Nothing definite.
